Delete your Kōami account
Effective 21 September 2026
In the app
Open the Kōami app and go to Settings & Privacy → Delete account → Delete my account. The screen lists what is deleted and what your hospital keeps before you confirm. Deletion happens immediately and you are signed out on every device.
If you cannot open the app
- By email: write to info@koami.in from any address, giving the mobile number your account uses and the hospital you use.
- At the hospital: ask at your hospital's front desk.
- By phone: +91 94745 65506, Monday–Saturday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM IST.
We confirm that the account is yours before deleting it — for example by checking your photo ID at the front desk, or your date of birth against the hospital's registration. We acknowledge your request within 7 working days and complete it within 30 days. Once deleted, you are signed out on every device.
What is deleted
- Your app account, your sign-in and your family links.
- Documents, prescriptions and meal photos you uploaded — including the stored files.
- Your food diary, nutrition targets and medicine check-offs.
- App notifications, app appointment requests and any registration request you sent that the hospital has not yet processed.
A record that an account was deleted is kept, holding only the date, the reason if you gave one, and counts of what was removed — not your name, mobile number or hospital ID.
What the hospital keeps
Kōami is the software; your hospital holds your medical records. Your hospital registration (UMR), visits, bills, lab and imaging reports, prescriptions written by its doctors, discharge summaries, insurance claims and follow-up plans are medical and financial records the hospital must keep by law. Deleting your app account does not delete them. Ask the hospital directly about those records.
You can create a new account later with the same number; it starts empty and re-links to the hospital records registered under that number.
