Terms of Use
Kōami mobile app · Effective 30 September 2026
The Kōami app is published by Koami Private Limited (CIN U62013TS2026PTC221275), registered office 3-11-15/A Alkapur Colony, Neknampur, Rangareddy, Telangana 500089, India (“Kōami”, “we”). Contact: info@koami.in · +91 94745 65506.
Kōami makes software for hospitals. Kōami is not a hospital and does not provide medical care. Your care, your appointments and your medical records are provided by the hospital you connect to in the app.
1. The service
The app connects patients and staff to hospitals that use Kōami's hospital information system. Patients can book in-person appointments, view their hospital records, upload prescriptions and documents, keep a food diary and manage family members' records. Hospital staff can do their work on a phone with accounts their hospital issues. By signing in you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.
2. Not medical advice
The app shows records created by your hospital and information you enter. It does not diagnose, prescribe or replace a consultation. Automatic readings of documents and meal photos are produced by software, can be wrong, and are labelled as automatic: check them against the original and ask your doctor before acting on them. Questions about your treatment are for your hospital, not for Kōami.
3. Your account
- Sign in only with a mobile number that belongs to you. Keep your MPIN to yourself, and do not choose one that is easy to guess, such as your date of birth.
- If your hospital gave you a hospital code, enter it when you sign in; otherwise leave it blank.
- Anyone who knows your mobile number and MPIN can see the records on your account, including your family's. If you think someone else knows your MPIN, change it at once in Settings & Privacy → Sign-in security. If you forget it, choose Forgot MPIN? when you sign in and confirm your birth year.
- Give accurate details when you register. The hospital may ask you to confirm them at the front desk.
- Add only family members whose records you are entitled to see.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app, under Settings & Privacy → Delete account. If you cannot open the app, write to info@koami.in or ask at your hospital's front desk — see how deletion works.
4. Staff accounts
Staff accounts belong to the hospital that issues them. They are for authorised hospital work only, carry the permissions the hospital assigns, and are subject to the hospital's policies and to patient confidentiality. The hospital may suspend a staff account at any time.
5. Appointments and fees
Appointments booked in the app are in-person visits at the hospital, subject to the hospital's confirmation and the doctor's availability. Consultation fees and bills are set by the hospital and paid to the hospital at its billing counter; the app does not take payments.
6. Acceptable use
Do not try to access another person's records, get around security, copy or reverse-engineer the app, interfere with the service, or upload material that is unlawful or that you have no right to share.
7. Availability
We work to keep the service available but cannot guarantee it will always be uninterrupted. Records in the app may lag behind the hospital's own systems. A hospital's access to the app depends on its arrangement with Kōami.
8. Liability
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, Kōami is not liable for medical decisions, for loss arising from reliance on automatic readings, from delays in records appearing in the app, or from use of the app contrary to these terms. The hospital remains responsible for the care it provides and the records it keeps. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Indian consumer protection law.
9. Ending use
We may suspend an account used in breach of these terms. You may stop using the app at any time, and delete your account from Settings & Privacy → Delete account.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to your rights under consumer protection law, the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana have jurisdiction. Please contact us first at info@koami.in so we can try to resolve the issue.
11. Changes
We will update this page when these terms change and show the new date at the top. Significant changes will also be shown in the app.
